No - the rat snake family are non-venomous species, that subdue their prey by constriction.
One of the products used for rat control is a mouse trap, which snaps shut when a rat crosses it. Another product that is used is poisonous rat bait, which kills a rat after it is consumed.
Nope - rat snakes fall into the category of non-venomous species. They are constrictors.
The rat does give birth to a live young but at a consequence. When the rat gives birth the young is trapped in a poisonous sack just like the placenta. The rat will free its young by eating its own poisonous sack, but will die due to the build up of acid. The young will then feed on its mother to get strength.
Rat's teeth are not envenomed like a venomous snake's teeth are. A wild rat bite however might bring all sorts of disease and infection with it, but all of these are things the rat is carrying, not part of the rat's own biology.
bromide
Well as I've read, acorns have a chemical in them called "Tannin", which can be toxic in large doses, but for the most part a rat could eat them in the same abundance as a squirrel without any ill effects.
