A worldwide pandemic is more likely to wipe out mankind than any other scenario. Diseases and viruses are constantly mutating, not drastically most of the time though. We cant be sure what will end the world, whether it is a pandemic, or simply just running out of resources to sustain life.

No one knows for sure when the world will end. In the early 2000's (2000-2005) scientists thought the world was going to end. Obviously that was not true. Now scientists think the world will end on December 12, 2012. We aren't sure if this is true but this theory is based off of the ancient Mayan's calendar.
