My British bulldog had 13 puppies that must be a record
ANY dog can be bred with ANY other dog, no matter the breed. If the female dog is the French bulldog, you can most likely expect the puppies to have to be delivered by cesarean. This is not inexpensive, and it wouldn't be optional. The very lives of the puppies and the mother dog would depend on it. If either dog is a purebred, another thing to consider is would be why breed to create a litter of mongrel puppies?
Most Alaskan Malamutes have between 4 and 10 puppies in each litter. The average is 6 puppies.
The world record for the most puppies to be born into one litter was 24.
The largest number of puppies in a mixed breed litter will vary from dog to dog. Some dogs might have only one puppy, while another dog can have 15 puppies. As a rule, smaller dogs have fewer puppies.
In North America it's probably English bulldog.
Most dogs have eight to 10 nipples and an average litter size of about five puppies, making the theory appear true.
For most mammals its "litter." The mother dog gave birth to a litter of puppies.
shouldn't be dangerous. most dogs can have up to 15 puppies at one time
Special note for English bulldogs - this breed of dog still exists primarily because veterinarians are available to perform C-sections for the puppies to be born. The narrow hips of the breed combined with the relatively large head size means the female is often unable to deliver the puppies through the birth canal - they are too big for the space. If you are planning on breeding an English bulldog, you need to plan carefully so that a veterinarian is available to perform the C-section on an emergency basis if needed. Most English bulldog breeders schedule the C-section when they know the female's breeding date. When your English bulldog no longer shows signs of heat (in the female) or has decreasing semen quality (in the male), that is when it is too late. Otherwise, most dogs can be successfully bred for most of their adult lives.
The most has been a total of 16 puppies, the runt of the litter had survived
Most pregnancies last 3 months on average.
A litter of puppies will often fight amongst themselves to determine which one is the most dominant.
