RENT is about a group of friends: Mark, Roger, Collins (first name Tom), Angel, Maureen, Joanne, and Mimi. Roger, Mimi, Collins, and Angel all have AIDS. Mark is a filmaker and is making a documentary about the homeless and people with HIV/AIDS. I don't want to give too much away, but it is basically about this group of friends struggling both the battles of poverty and HIV/AIDS. It is a great show and I VERY highly reccommend it!
