Best Answer

Callisto was a nymph and follower of Artemis. She took a vow of virginity, but was seduced and impregnated by Zeus. Artemis became angry that Calliso broke her oath, and turned her into a bear. Callisto later gave birth to a son, Arcus. Years later, Arcus and Callisto were turned into stars, Ursa Major and Ursa Minor, respectively, by Zeus.
