The name of the church was St. Phillip Benizi. Father Louis Sebastiani was the priest there for years. He married my parents, & baptized me there. It was predominantly an immigrant Sicilian neighborhood somewhere around Oak & Cambridge Streets. The Italian Feasts there were the best. A correction to Father Louis's last name. It was Giambastiani. Well if you are talking about the cooking School on Orleans St. The nearest abandon church to that location is the old St. Dominick's Church, about 1/4 block west of Orleans St. at the intersection of Sedgiwick /Hudson St. Father Sebastine serve at St, Joseph's Church, 1065 W. Orleans St. St. Phillip's church and School has been torn down for YEARS!!!!
