my mom used to crew on hot air balloons (sometimes on the Disney Mickey Mouse ballon) and all i remember them called are pilot, co pilot, crew chief, crew , and ground crew, and ballonists as a whole - but it does seem to me i have heard somewhere in the distant past a special term for ballon pilots, i think a french term, but i cant recall what it was
Hot Air Balloon Pilot
The pilot is just 'the pilot'
A hot air balloon pilot is called an aeronaut.
An aeronaut flies a hot air balloon
Hot air balloons have a gas heater that is generally powered by propane. When the pilot turns the heater on, the balloon will fly high due to the hydrocarbon chamber that allows the pilot control of ascent and descent of the hot air balloon.
A pilot drives a hot air balloon. They also have to take an FAA written examination to become a pilot, because you really need to trust someone to pilot unexperienced riders!
Pilot
He would heat it.
This is the basket that is suspended below the balloon and carries the pilot and passengers.
The pilot of a hot air balloon uses the burners to move in different directions. Some of the air is moving east, while some of the air is moving west. The pilot of the balloon will either deflate or inflate the balloon to catch the wind in a particular direction.
If a hot air balloon, then stop heating the air. If a lighter-than-air balloon then release some of the gas.
You could name it, The Burning Hot Air Balloon:)
