Oil can, oil drum, or barrel.
Yes, you can.
Just store it on a shelf in a sealed container inside somewhere.
Barrel
ScuttlePerhaps you are looking for the word "oilcan".
Roman Catholic AnswerSacred Chrism is stored in a locked box in the ambry. All sorts of containers can be used, a glass vial, a small metal container, etc.
can, barrel, pan, etc
You store them in a sealed container to prevent them from igniting. The oil and the air create a chemical reaction which creates heat, so after the oxygen is spent in the closed container, the process cannot be completed, therefore no fire.
usually at school we store it in oil but ts a non flamable oil as it reacts with the oxygen in the air causing the chemical reaction changing it to magnesium hydroxide so you will need to keep in a clear container in oil or just in a container that is air tight and never store it in water as it has a high raction and burns in water
it could be container........A bit more:Depending on the type of bottle it is, it could be:Canteen - a container usually used for holding water for hiking and campingtrips, etc.Cruet - a bottle used for oil and vinegar salad dressingDecanter - a bottle used for decanting and serving wineFlask - a container which fits in a man's jacket pocket or a woman's purseand used to hold liquorJug - a large container used for holding large amounts of liquid

I am not aware of any recommendation to not store olive oil in large containers. Olive oil processors store the oil in huge vats, but the oil would be protected from light and heat. Perhaps at home, to delay rancidity, one should store the oil in the refrigerator and have only a small container available at room temperature for use as needed. Light and heat will affect the flavor of the oil.
5 quarts (with oil filter change), of 5W30 [V-6, 4.0 L VOHC], OR whatever the OWNERS MANUAL recommends. DO NOT make the mistake of "upping the grade of oil" to say "Castrol 20W50"! Why? Many reasons, some of which are gas mileage, engine temperature, average temperature (where you live) that YOUR engine operates in, to name a few. PLEASE: Be sure you drain your oil, and the oil filter contents, into a container you do not mind parting with (IF dropping the used oil off at your local County Dump); container can be reused IF you take it to the parts store that you bought the oil from, Almost ALL have a "used motor oil", 55 gallon drum, that you simply empty your container into. Pour the used oil down a street "storm drain", dig a hole in the ground and rid yourself of the oil by filling said hole with used motor oil, or something else that is USUALLY illegal, but leaves that much more of our environment "contaminated" for our children and grandchildren! PS: Ask, wherever you dispose your used motor oil at, WHAT to do with your EMPTY, used oil filter.
