NASA's most famous telescope is probably the Hubble Telescope that orbits the earth.
Hubble space telescope
It is used for reading space creatures and first started in the year 1808.the inventor Hubble bubble in vented it without knowing what it was going to be used for. so the first few words he said was it worked and said after reading the space creatures for 34 years they told him that they would attack the world in January 2010.
Yerkes observatory's 40 inch refracting telescope is the biggest that I know of and is popular. Google em' :)
Probably the Hubble space telescope

Various telescopes were sent into space, the most famous one is the Hubble Space Telescope; famous for the spectacular and unique photos taken by it.

HANS LIPPERSHEY INVENTED REFRACTING TELESCOPE.
the reflecting telescope was!!
Infrared the answer is a refracting telescope :p
The largest practical functioning refracting telescope is the Yerkes Observatory 40 inch (102 cm) refractor.
Refracting telescope.
A reflecting telescope uses mirrors while refracting telescopes uses lens. The refracting telescope also had chromatic aberration and bad resolution while the reflecting telescope had none of these.
A radio telescope detects light in the form of radio waves and a refracting telescope detects light in the visible wavelengths

A refracting telescope is a type of telescope that has a large thin lense at the front and a smaller thicker lense at the end where the eyepiece is. Refracting telescopes use lenses unlike reflecting telescopes that use mirrors to reflect the light. This is a good image of a refracting and reflecting telescope: [See related link]
it doesnt
A refracting telescope is a type of optical telescope. It was used in astronomical telescopes and spy glasses. Objective lens are used to produce the image.
