Yes, you can get a "request for legal name change" you just fill it out and have the papers notarized, then file it at the court. They give you a court date, you appear before a judge, he/she asks if you are trying to defraud anyone by changing your name, you give an oath that you are not. He/she then orders it to be from that day forward you will be knowen as the new name. You can then take the court papers to the social security office and get a new birth certificate with your name on it. It willnot change your SS#, that is more difficult to do.
