The Bible is the Word of God given to mankind as a guide or instruction manual. As the 2nd divine being of the God Family, the Father is supreme and give the Word who became Jesus the authority to tell/inspire mankind with these writings.
The 114 chapter of the Quran is called Surah An Nas and it means: In the name of Allah, the most Mercifull the most Kind. Say, I seek refuge with the Lord of mankind, the King of mankind, the Allah(God) of mankind, from the mischief of the sneaking whisperer (of evil), Who whispers in the hearts of mankind, from among jinns and mankind
if you mean Mohammad, he brought the message from Allah (God)
The Holy Quran is not only a book but it is a straight message to whole mankind to follow a single God that is Allah! For convenience the Quran has been divided in to Surah. And each Surah starts with the name of God, the Most Merciful and Oft Forgiving!

There is no difference. Allah is the name of God in Arabic and is cognate to the Hebrew name for God (Elohim).

since the dawn of history of this religion , it has been named by this name " Islam". It's mentioned in the Holy Quran as Islam & the followers as Muslims many times.so no the name is not recent.Moreover , Muslims believe that the message of Islam is not only the message of Muhammad PBUH but also the message of all of the Messengers before Him.All the messages sent by Allah to the mankind had carried the same conception which is "worshipping God, the one & only God". one example from the Holy Quran :( And this was the legacy that Abraham left to his sons, and so did Jacob; "Oh my sons!
