i think its cadmium iodide, in that cadmium is a cation(Cd 2+), and therefore comes first in your compound name (you keep the name of the cation). Next, Iodine is a monoatomic anion(I-), so we keep the "ide" suffix at the end of the anion name. We therefore have "Cadmium iodide."
