Under engine, if you underneath your car at front you couldn't miss it big steel frame between both wheels
Its on the bottom of the frame, between the wheels, under the engine. Look at that area and you'll fing it. Washing the frame makes it easier to notice.
There are marks on the frame for this. Either behind the front wheels, or in front of the rear wheels.
look at the number on the frame, it is either stamped into the side close to the engine, or it is on the frame under the handlebars If the engine was replaced as mine was then the numbers on the frame will not tell you if you have a later or earlier model engine.
there is no frame on a 95 monte, it's a unibody.
Probably the frame section under the engine, because it carries the most weight.
how do you remove the engine? Is it pulled from the top or do you unbolt the sub frame and slide it out from under the car?
Directly under the engine between the front wheels.
From the battery to frame directly under the battery box. From the frame to the engine at the motor mounts with a short ground cable. Usually on the drivers side.
Under the engine. LOLYoui need to take the front wheels off and the mud guards, and they are there.
Engine mounts on 1997 Crown Vic are under the engine above the front frame cross member. There are three bolts that attach the mount to the engine, and two bolts that connect the mount to the frame mounting points.
GM Method: # place car on vehicle lift. # Place Jack stands under Engine sub-frame. # Disconnect all electrical and plumbing # Disconnect all suspension element from front wheels # unbolt Engine sub-frame # Raise car ## Transmision ## Engine ## Front Axles # Sub-frame is left behind with # Remove engine from transmission # Reverse process. Haynes/chilton has a do-it-home process that dissemble allot of the front of the car, to then use a cherry picker to grab the engine out of a much enlarged hood cavity. Read one of their books for more info.
