The bedouin turban is called a Keffie: a square kerchief made of cotton, silk or cotton and silk. Over this they tie an akal which most often is made of camel hair. Some bedouins wear a shutfe which is a handkerchief tied about the head. Richer people sometimes wear shawls made of more expensive fabric.
