Are a nuts and bolts screws?
No. A nut and bolt are a matched set of fasteners. The bolt goes into or through the object it will secure, the nut is spun on to the bolt and snugged up tight to complete the fastening. A screw is a single fastener driven into (usually) wood - there is no nut used with it. There are also screws for use in metal, but they do not hold as securely as a nut and bolt.

Wheel bolt pattern is 5 on 5 & 1/2. Same as the earlier Ford pickups. The center hole in the tracker wheel is larger then the Ford pick up wheel. A lot of after market wheels for the ford pick up have a large enough center hole so it will bolt on but the off set of the wheel makes the stick out more then the tracker wheels do

no remove the air box and use open end 10mm. lower bolt will set in the hole when reinstalling no remove the air box and use open end 10mm. lower bolt will set in the hole when reinstalling. sand oxidized aluminum hole where starter goes into and coat with grease if having trouble getting it in place.

If there is a big nut on the fan shaft where it connects to the water pump go to Autozone and ask them to rent the water pump wrench set (you get the money back when you return the tools). The big spanner wrench goes around the four bolt heads on the water pump pulley and the other smaller wrench goes on the big nut then just unscrew the nut. If you don't have the nut on the pump shaft just remove the four bolt from the water pump the fan shaft will come off the pump.

How do you get the starter off a 1974 Volkswagen Beetle?
The thing you're attempting to remove looks like two cans hooked together--a big one, and a little one with two wires coming out of it. Unhook the battery, first of all. Next, jack up the car and put it on jackstands. The starter lives on the right-hand side of the transmission, about six inches back of the drive axle. You need a 13mm wrench and a 17mm wrench to get it out, and you MIGHT need a set of vise grips. Once you get the car jacked up, open the hood and feel behind the engine shroud on the right side. You will find a 17mm nut. Two bolts hold the starter in, and this nut's on one of them. Try to remove it. If you're lucky, the last owner of your car welded a small bolt to the head of the bolt your nut's attached to--the small bolt will keep the big bolt from spinning around and around when you take the nut off. If you start removing the nut and it comes off, you've got this setup in your car. If you start removing the nut and the thing spins round and round and doesn't come off, clamp the vise grips to the nut, then crawl under with the 17mm wrench and remove this bolt plus the nut on the bottom of the starter. (Then take the bolt and a $10 bill to any welding shop and have the guy dig a little bolt out of the garbage, lay it sideways on top of the bolthead, and weld it on. So long as the head of the little bolt is sticking off the side of the big bolt, so it hits the transmission when it turns, it will work fine. Tell the guy it's a bolt for a starter, and he'll know what you want.) Anyway, once that bolt is out, unhook the two wires. One is held on with a 13mm nut; the other is a push-on and you can remove it with your fingers. And finally, hold the starter with one hand while removing the other 17mm nut. When it's out, pull the starter free and lower it. When you reinstall it, I like to pull the top bolt through and stick the tip of a flat-tip screwdriver in the threads. This will help you to get the nut screwed onto the bolt because it will keep you from pushing the bolt back in.

Unhook your battery. Reach behind the fan shroud on the right side of the car with a 17mm wrench and feel around until you find the top nut. Try to take it off. If it doesn't come off, keep this in mind. Jack up the car, put jackstands under it, put yourself under it and unhook the battery cable and bendix wire. If you got the top nut completely off, remove the bottom nut, then slip the starter out of the car. If it DIDN'T come off, clamp a set of vise-grips to the bolt at the top of the starter, then crawl out, remove the top nut, crawl back under, remove the bottom nut and take the starter out. If you had to do the vise-grips thing, take the top bolt to a machinist to have a 1/4" bolt welded sideways to the head of the starter bolt. In operation, the bolt welded sideways will hit the transmission case the first time you try tightening the nut to it, it will turn no further, and you can tighten it right up.
