Shenanigans ( sort of a live-action monopoly but a different name), Puzzle Palace, and Video Village were all loosely in this category= participant quiz shows with some overtones of gambling or ( price is right) angles. All are long off the air. Shenanigans was also a board game by Milton Bradley, based on the show, of course.

They tried to revive the show in May 2008 with a new name and format called Million Dollar Wheel off Fortune with Tim Campbell as host and Kelly Landry as hostess, however the show was cancelled by Jun 27 2008. In Sept 2008 the USA Wheel of Fortune did change to the Million Dollar format that had started with the short lived Australian version.
The nighttime syndicated version of Wheel of Fortune is not a network show and the stations decide which syndicated program they will carry.
