The all seeing eye and unfinished pyramid on the back of the Dollar bill is actually the reverse side of the Great Seal of the United States. It was designed by a three committees starting in 1776,over six years. The only Freemason on any of these committees was Benjamin Franklin.
However, the design is not what Franklin suggested. From Franklin's papers, he states that he suggested a different image based on a scene from Exodus.
In his own words he proposed: "Moses standing on the Shore, and extending his Hand over the Sea, thereby causing the same to overwhelm Pharoah, who is sitting in an open Chariot, a Crown on his Head and a Sword in his Hand. Rays from a Pillar of Fire in the Clouds reaching to Moses, to express that he acts by Command of the Deity. The motto Franklin suggested was: "Rebellion to Tyrants is Obedience to God."
So, as much as I'd like to claim otherwise, Freemasonry can't claim the design on the reverse of the Great Seal.
