The narrow cavity along the midline superior to the hypothalamus and between the right and left halves of the thalamus is the third ventricle. It is one of the four interconnected ventricles within the brain that produce and store cerebrospinal fluid.

Passively. Blood flows in the inferior vena cava because the pressure in the right atrium is lower than the pressure in the vena cava. Blood flows along this pressure gradient to return to the heart.
A ray passing through the center of a lens does not bend because it encounters the lens along its optical axis, which is a line of symmetry. Since there is no change in direction when crossing this line, the ray continues straight through the center of the lens without bending.
