In Africa, plains zebras live on the Savannah or in temperate grasslands. Mountain zebras, recognizable by their unstriped bellies, live in the mountains (funny how that works, eh?).

Zebras live in mainly southern and eastern Africa. They live mainly on grasslands or in the savanna and open areas. Mainly in Tanzania and Kenya Africa. They have to be within 20 miles of a waterhole in the dry season.
