The main Edinburgh train station is Edinburgh Waverley. It is not close to the airport. In fact there are no train stations close to the airport. The closest station is Edinburgh Haymarket. There are airport express buses (known as 'airlink' buses) which run from both Edinburgh train stations every 10 minutes or so throughout the day to the airport for £3-£5.
No, but alternatively you can get a train from Glasgow > Edinburgh then get an airport bus. There are signs on the Haymarket train station saying "alight here for airport bus", but you can get airport buses from both Haymarket and Waverly station. In my opinion, getting off at Waverly would be easier, because there are scheduled roadworks for trams at Haymarket, so it may not be obvious where the bus is diverted to. :)
Edinburgh's main rail stations, Waverley and Haymarket, are in the city centre.
Rail passengers can get between airport and station by taxi or by bus. The Airlink 100 service calls at Waverley and Haymarket stations. Journey times are 25 to 30 minutes in normal traffic.
A night bus, the N22, also runs between Waverley station and the airport.
Alternatively, the Jet 747 bus links the airport with Inverkeithing rail station in Fife. Combined train and bus tickets are available to or from any rail station in Scotland.
Which station and which airport? You're not helping here!

Glasgow International Airport does not have a train station. To make this journey you would have to travel into Glasgow City Centre, the easiest way to do this would be to take the shuttle bus to Buchanan Bus Station. From Buchanan Bus Station, it is around a ten minute walk to Queen Street Station where a train to Edinburgh will take around an hour, depending on the route.
Which train station? Eastern, southern, western or airport train station? (Keleti) (Déli) (Nyugati)
