Intranet-based systems are generally more secure than an internet solution. It depends on the implementation that you are looking for. An internet solution would give users access from anywhere (speaking generally here) and intranet would only allow it from within the system or using a VPN which can be harder to set up. It's all honestly based on personal preference.
Whats a intranet u meen internet? i know wait no i dont
intranet is a kind of private network which is developed for an individual or an organization whereas internet means an international network system of various networks and known as mother of all networks.
do u mean internet vs. intranet? internet is the name given to the millions of connected devices (no longer just pcs). intranet is an internal form of the internet which allows organisations share information around the company. So basically is a smaller; usually company wide system of connected machines, which allows the easy retrival / submission of data.
Oh, dude, it's like asking what's the similarity between a grape, a raisin, and a sultana. They're all dried grapes, right? So, in the tech world, internet, intranet, and extranet are all networks, just with different levels of access and who can use them. It's like a VIP section, a staff-only area, and the wild, wild web - same same, but different.
An Internet is a public network that anyone could use or have access to. An Intranet is a private network which requires a VPN connection (usually) and a valid user-name and password (or other authentication). An intranet is usually a company website only employees can access
you need to be an employee or trusted client to get the credentials to use any company's intranet.
An intranet is a private network that uses internet protocols, network connectivity, and public telecommunication system to securely share part of an organization's information or operations with its employees.
An intranet is a collection of private computer networks within an organization, while an extranet is a computer network that allows access from outside an organization. The prefixes "int" and "ext" mean inside and outside, respectively. The Internet is not directly related to the two, since it is a global system, while the other two are more localized network connections

The Internet is the service which allows you to access the world wide web. The Intranet (where I come from) is a system of school's computers all linked together sharing facilities like school files and other data. It is basically a word used to describe the filtered Internet services that schools use, although filtered as I mentioned a teacher in one school can upload a file for any school in the same region to view, as long as they share servers.
An intranet is medium of communication in a closed community.Messages from the intranet is transfered through a gateway, with a firewall along with users authenticatedand encrypted messages, which cannot be viewed by any other person that does not belong to the virtual private network. It also used only in the local Area that means information shared in between two or more blocks required.
