What is the negative side of same-sex marriage?

Opinion: The negative side of same-sex marriage is that it is godless. It also sets a precedent for acceptable behavior in society, as if same-sex couples are somehow in the same league as natural relationships. Anything that slants something that is an abomination to the LORD as an acceptable practice is oozing with negativity.

Alternate Opinion:There is no negative side of same-sex marriage that I am aware of, except that some lobbying groups would consider its legalization to represent a loss of influence on government.

The negative side of homosexuality is that it gives more deviant behavior to the society and gives a diverse world to the society. It gives conflict to the normal person and there is a confusion between that persons mind.

Well, I am in a gay ralationship. And the biggest I can think of is the fact that its not as accepted as it probably should be. You cant walk down the street with your partner and hold hands without looks of approval. Whereas a straight relationship can, and no one thinks anything. But don't let that get to you. My boyfriend and I are open about it, and I silence anyone who has a problem in a heartbeat. But that's just who I am.

• People judge you and hate you without ever meeting you

In spite of these disadvantages, many gay people are able to make wonderful lives for themselves, by surrounding themselves with good, loving people. There are so many disadvantages, that it's a wonder anyone believes that being gay is a choice.
There are many:

• Being the victim of prejudice and ignorance -- even from your own family
• Depending on where you live, being identified as a homosexual can get you legally murdered
• You are also in danger of "buying in" to all those misconceptions about homosexuals and feeling bad about yourself
• Many US states do not give gay people equal rights
• 28 states allow you to be fired for being gay
• If you are legally allowed to adopt, you wait longer and get last choice
• people hate you before they even meet you
• Christians "love you" but vote against your rights in every election
• Some Christians practice the dangerous pseudo-science of conversion therapy
• Muslims want to kill you

Perhaps the main disadvantage with people being homosexual is the inability to have children. Though some would not see this as a disadvantage necessarily.

There is also still a great deal of resentment, fear and, to a certain degree, distrust, among heterosexuals towards homosexuals. Much of it propagated by fundamentalist religious beliefs.

Increasingly, homosexuals are making their voices heard, for many, even those who would support them, far too stridently. This is having some negative impact on society.
