Maternity leave raised from 135 days to 180 days with effect from 01.09.2008 and admissible to married/unmarried female employee with less than two surviving children and during miscarriage/abortion total 45 days in the entire service. It is granted on full pay and the leave is not debited to the leave account. It may be combined with leave of any other kind. Any leave including commuted leave up to 60 days and leave not due may be taken without medical certificate up to 2 years in continuation. Counts as service for increments and pension.
