Super-Earth: Newly discovered planet could potentially support lifeSuper-Earth: The newfound haul of alien planets includes 16 super-Earths, which are potentially rocky worlds that are more massive than our planet. One in particular has captured astronomers' attention because it orbits at the edge of its star's habitable zone, suggesting conditions could be ripe to support life.
The Earth Like Planet that was newly discovered in another solar system (no i am not lying they did find a new earth-like planets
What life would be like on a newly discovered super earth planet depends wholly on what a person wants it to be like. Everyone has a different picture of what this type of life would be like. I imagine it would be full.
We are a light-year away from our destination. The newly discovered, earth-like planet is a light-year away from us.
The undiscovered planet lay a light-year away from the swirling Milky Way galaxy.
yes. It's not like it was discovered in space =D

"Planet X" is a temporary title given to a newly discovered planet with no official designation. The title is dispensed with once a planet is given a permanent designation. There is no specific planet called "Planet X." Several planets, including Pluto, have been called this before being named. Believers of the Nibiru Cataclysm Theory sometimes claim that "Planet X" is the name that NASA has given "Nibiru," a mythical planet-like object, as part of a cover up. As 'Planet X' might be any planet, it might be any size.
Yes, there was a planet with water discovered. Though it is 2-3 billion light years away and is nearly impossible to reach.
The asteroid Ceres was discovered in 1801; the planet Pluto was discovered in 1930. In 2006, the International Astronomical Union decided to formally define a "planet"; this had never been formally done before. The discoveries of other distant objects beyond Pluto caused the IAU to finally come up with a rule. According to the new rule, Pluto, Ceres, and Eris (a newly discovered "tenth planet") were all classified as "dwarf planets".
Not discovered up today - 2011.
well we don't actually know there could be a planet like earth that hasn't been discovered yet so their might Be
A new Earth like planet Kepler 22-b was discovered in 2009 but only recently confirmed as a planet. Its made big news as it is thought to be around 2.4 times the size to Earth and orbits a star that is similar to our own star (the sun) around 600 light years away. More importantly though, it is in the habitable zone, orbiting just the right distance from its star to allow for water to occur in liquid form - essential for life as we know it. There is a lot that we don't know about it as it is so far away, we don't even know what its atmosphere is like or even if it has one, which is also essential to life.
