The Pacer family of trains is a family of trains used in the United Kingdom. They consist of the Classes 140, 141, 142, 143, and 144. They were all built in the 1980s and were inspired by buses, and hence they have been nicknamed Buses on Rails and Railbuses. Due to their bouncy ride, the Class 142 and 144 especially, they are also nicknamed Nodding Donkeys.
