the Bodhi Tree was just a normal tree before Siddhartha meditated under it so he just randomly picked any tree, maybe with leaves that shades underneath from the sun so he wouldn't be disturbed by heat. People named it because it was near siddhartha when he was enlightened.
Siddhartha Gautama was a prince in India around 500BC who was surrounded by everything a man could desire. He found life to be unfulfilled and unsatisfactory. He left his cozy life to find the meaning of life and how to end suffering. After 5 years of listening to different Guru's and trying all kinds of spiritual paths he sat down and meditated on the subject of suffering. During that meditation he came to understand how the world truly is (not the illusion we all see) and became enlightened. He spent the next 50 odd years teaching others what he discovered until he died.
Buddah sat under a pipal or a bodi tree for 49 days waiting for truth to be revealed to him. He meditated daily and vowed not to get up until he had received his enlightenment.
Siddhartha Gautama, The Buddha, sat under a fig tree, also called a Peepal tree and gained enlightenment. The scientific name of a peepal tree is Ficus religiosa.

Recent admissions statistics place the average SAT scores for CMU between 2100 and 2289. Since 1980 would not place you in this range, it would be difficult to get into CMU based on your SAT scores alone.
Well, I think it began in India but I'm not sure, and it began by Prince Guatama Siddhartha aka Buddha. Hope that helped you! :) Buddhism WAS "invented" by the spoiled Prince Siddhartha Gautama. Siddhartha left his wife, wealth and newborn son to see if he could find a way to end world suffering. Buddhism began because he saw a Monk who was real happy, but he said, "How can you be happy with this suffering around you? So he left his whole life behind and sat down for 40 day below a tree and finally was happy.
It didn't, really, it mostly just sat there, like countries do today.
about between 12th of may till the 16th
