How do you replace thermostat on 1995 Nissan Altima?

Should be located in a removable housing at the engine end of the upper radiator hose Drain about 1 gallon of coolant from the radiator Remove this housing Note how thermostat is installed Clean both surfaces Replace thermostat and gasket Re-fill coolant slowly to prevent an airlock Start engine and look for leaks Run engine to normal operating temperature with heater on Re-check coolant level In my 1999 Nissan Altima the thermostat is located on the lower hose under a housing as described above. this is very unusual place but that is were mine is located.

How much does it cost to repair a 2002 Nissan Altima timing chain?

The price varies greatly deopending on who performs the repair. $350 would be normal. Why are you replacing the chain? The chain should last the life of the engine, and is not a maintence item that is replaced at a set time or mileage. Make sure it needs a new chain before spending the money for this.
