The Bobcat 743B uses propane as the engine's fuel source. The Bobcat 743 utilizes diesel as the primary fuel source. The difference between a 743 and 743B bobcat are undercarriage improvements and an improved bobtach mounting plate on the front of the loader for hooking up attachments. If you were looking for propane powered units try the 742 or 742B. The 742 has a Ford industrial 4 cylinder in it and the 742B has a Mitsubishi indutrial engine in it, both of which can be converted to run on propane. On the older machines the model number for example 743, the 3 means liquid cooled diesel engine
Bobcat Fluid part number 6563328 or 10w-30, 10w-40 Class SE motor oil. Use 5w-30 where temps are below -10F.
you have to unbolt the 2 bolts in the front corners of the cage and then push it up and back the pump is under the seat
I have a 743 and use Delo 400 15-40 LE (light emissions) For some reason Delo seems to work best in all my diesels. Not sure on the amount of oil for the engine however...
The melting point of borax is 743 oC.
most likely your charge pump or main pumps are not working or being driving. From as simple as the belt not spinning them, to something after pulley, that is sheared or broken
I have a 743 and love it...The Bobcat oil filter # is 3974896B you might be able to cross that number at Fram... I use NAPA Gold filer #1068... I have heard some bad stories on the Fram... the cross reference for the Fram I believe is PH43... NAPA lists the 1068 and 21068 as crosses for the Bobcat number..Here is the NAPA site to cross filers and they are great... I have never not gotten a hit... Do a bit of research on your own, dump Fram and go NAPA Gold... jim@cuab.net http://www.napafilters.com/filterlookup/index.asp
