They will stay in the bank, however if you have passed the limit for non members, you will still keep those items, but you wont be able to store any more items inside the bank, meaning if you take an item out, you can't put it back in.

While on RuneScape PVP worlds, if you die, you only lose the items you are carrying, not those in your bank, never in RuneScape will a death directly affect your banked items.
