Technically speaking, the US is at war with no one. All past wars of the US have involved NATIONS (COUNTRIES); with the exception(s) of the Indian Wars (aka Frontier Wars 1620-1890) and even they were referred to as the "Indian Nations" (a war against "Nations").
Currently, the US, according to former President Bush Jr., is combating terrorists, under the title of the "GLOBAL WAR AGAINST TERRORISM" (or the "Global War on Terrorism"). Two on-going campaigns involved with this war are: Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. This "Global War on Terrorists" is in the same vein as "the war on drugs" and the "war on crime"; again NO NATION is being fought...as is the traditional enemy when defining "a war."
Bottom line: The official name of this war is the "Global War on Terrorism" (or the "Global War Against Terrorism").
The American Civil War.
If it is the northern, and southern parts of US, it is called the Civil war.
European Recovery Program (official name of the Marshall Plan) .
First Blood and Apocalypse Now are two Hollywood films made on the US-Vietnam war.
No, that is not true. The official power to declare war belongs to Congress.
The US has officially only lost one war: The Vietnam War.
WWII was the US's last declared war. Was also the last pre-atomic age war. Since we have "nukes" now...can't be declaring wars anymore. Declaring war=equals total war. Total War=Atomic weapons.
No NATION is at war with the US at this time.
Name of US president is osama bin laden. Tees.
There have no declared US wars since the end of WW2.
