If your car has a four cylinder it should hold 4 quarts of oil.My suggestion is do the oil change and replace the oil filter.Then add the above amount and wait briefly then check your oil dipstick.Add oil so that it is at the full mark and not over that.If you have a six cylinder(v6) add at least 4qts then recheck.The v6 tends to hold more as it has a bigger oil pan.Easy.
