More than likely 5 quarts but to make 100% sure, park the vehicle on a level surface. Drain the oil and change the oil filter. Add 5 quarts of oil and start the engine. Let it run for 30 seconds and then shut down. Wait 30 minutes and check the oil level. If necessary add oil to reach the full mark. You now know the capacity.
it can be, but Ford made the 429 in 1968-73. There was the standard 429, Cobra Jet, and the Boss 429 built in 1969-70. Most parts are not interchangeable. The Ford engine was not a bored 400.
