The first myth was a long time ago in China where the adults would tell their children about the dragon and the dragon warriors. They would tell them how the warriors would come down with the dragon to diffed the country and if the warriors didn't help a lot, the dragon would come down and kill all the "evils". That is why there is a dragon dance.

∙ 10y agoziusudra, gilgamesh, atrahasis all pre-date the biblical flood. with Atrahasis being the oldest dating to 1700BCE and was pretty clearly the basis for gilgamesh which in turn inspired The Bible story. (as far as we know anyway, because it does pre-date our oldest known copies of the Torah)
