The oldest historically black university is Atlanta University. (The second oldest is Howard University in Washington DC) It is founded in 1865. From 1988 it merged with Clark College Atlanta and became Clark Atlanta University.

This is not true, the oldest historically black university is Cheyney University founded in 1837.

The oldest private degree granting black college/university is Wilberforce University in Wilberforce, Ohio. It was founded in 1856. Wilberforce was named to honor the great 18th century abolitionist, William Wilberforce. The oldest public degree granting black college/university is Lincoln University of Pennsylvania. It was founded in 1854 as Ashmun Institute. The Institute was renamed Lincoln University in 1866 after President Abraham Lincoln.
Cheyney University of Pennsylvania is the oldest historically black university. It was founded in 1837 by a philanthropist named Richard Humphreys.

Elizabeth City is no where near the largest HBCU, please do better research. Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University in Tallahassee, FL is the largest, with over 11,000 students. (US News and World Report)
