The Atlantic and Indian Oceans and the Mediterranean Sea
Apart from a number of land borders, the European country of France is bordered by the Bay of Biscay in the southwest, the English Channel in the northwest (which joins the Atlantic Ocean and the North Sea), and the Mediterranean Sea in the southeast.
Answer 1Central to Southern Europe.France is a large country with its Northern borders close to the center line of Europe while the South of France meets the Mediterranean Sea. It would therefore qualify as one of the Southern countries of the continent.Answer 2France would be regarded as being in western Europe, so neither the north or the south of Europe. France has coastlines on both the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. The western end of Europe is much narrower on a north to south basis, than further east, and France spans a lot of that area.
From north to south, these African countries have coastlines on the Atlantic. Morocco, Western Sahara, Mauritania, Senegal, The Gambia, Guinea Bissau, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo, Benin, Nigeria, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Angola, Nambia, South Africa. Morocco also has Mediterranean Sea coastline and South Africa also has Indian Ocean coastline.
