How would particles change in evaporation?

Firstly, evaporation doesn't mean boiling, boiling is when the temperature reaches the boiling point. However, evaporation will occur in any temperature, and we can't see them. It occurs when there is exposure of water to air and water molecules change into vapor and these vapors rise up and form clouds.

What makes evaporation and condensation alike?

Evaporation and Condensation are based upon the energy in the water molecules. If the water temperature (vapor) is above the surface temperature, it will evaporate. If the water temperature (vapor) is below the surface temperature it will condense. Evaporation and condensation are happening at the same time. We add the term "Net" at the beginning to show which is happening at a greater rate. The temperature at which there is net condensation is referred to as dew point.

What is a simple definition of evaporation?

evaporation is when a solid turns into a liquid at one definite temperature (the melting point) but a liquid turns into a gas over a range of temperature. the process by which liquid turns into a gas over a range of temperature is called evaporation

The temperature at which the vapor pressure of a liquid is equal to the external pressure is the what?

The temperature at which the vapor pressure of a liquid is equal to the external pressure is the boiling point. Evaporation is when vaporization of an uncontained liquid occurs.

Does water have to boiled to evaporate?

No it doesn't. There is no place on Earth that exceeds the temp of 100C. If water had to be boiled to evaporate, then wet laundry would never get dry, puddles would never dry up just as a few examples :)

What is liquid to gas evaporation called?

1. When the phenomenon occur at a temperature under the boiling point, at the surface of a liquid, the term is evaporation.2. When the phenomenon occur at the boiling point, in all the volume of the liquid, the term is boiling.

What is different evaporation and vaporization?

Evaporation occur at the surface of a liquid and at any temperature under the boiling point.Vaporization occur only at the boiling point and in the entire volume of the liquid.

When does evaporation occurs for a given substance?

Evaporation is the phenomenon of transformation from liquid to gas which occur at the surface of the liquid. Evaporation is possible also at a temperature lower than the boiling point.

How do you make liquid water into water vapor?

- Evaporation is possible at any temperature - At the boiling point vaporization occur

How does vaporization relate to evaporation and boiling.?

Vaporization occur at the boiling point and from the total volume of the liquid.Evaporation occur at any temperature but only from the surface of the liquid.

When water boils it evaporates?

Evaporation occur at any temperature, boiling only at the boiling point - 100 oC at standard pressure.

Boiling and evaporation are both forms of what?

Boiling and evaporation are both forms of changing liquids into gas. Boiling occurs when the liquid reaches its boiling point, while evaporation can occur at any temperature.

Is it true that particles can only evaporate from a liquid at temperatures above liquids boiling point?

It is not true; evaporation occur at the surface of a liquid and the temperature is under the boiling point.

What point does water have to reach to make evaporation?

Evaporation is possible at any temperature.

Does the wind slow down evaporation?

Adjust the temperature. This is very fidgety if you want evaporation to occur at a particular rate. But try lowering the temperature back towards the boiling point (for a liquid is 100 degrees celcius) but not below because the evaporation process will stop.

If the dew point and the air temperature are the same will condensation or precipitation form?

If dew point and the air temperature are the same, condensation may occur but all the given conditions guarantee is that any liquid water that might be present will be in equilibrium with the moisture in the air so any evaporation that might occur will be matched with some condensation somewhere and any condensation that might occur would have to be matched by some evaporation elsewhere.

That is the evaporation?

Transformation of a liquid in a gas at a temperature under the boiling point is called evaporation.
