The statues are dropped in this order, counting left to right: 4, 2, 3, 1.
The order is indicated by the dots on the bellies of the small statues next to the switches. You drop the one with one dot (far right), then two dots (middle left), the three dots (middle right), then four (left side). You have to throw all four switches before the sand covers them.
You can leave anytime by backtracking. To leave from the falling blocks or sand room, there is a passage to your left. (see the related question)
It is the final challenge in the tomb under the Sphinx on Nabooti island. (for the solution, see the related question)

There are levers that reset the block puzzle (right there), and the sand room (at the left side), but only if you fail the challenge.
There are statues with dots inside the Sphinx tomb, as part of the Sand Room challenge. (see the related question)

You have to throw the switches in the proper oder before sand fills the room. The order is indicated by the dots on the bellies of the little statues (1, 2, 3, or 4). If you succeed, the sarcphagus opens and you get the Blue Jewel. If you fail, there is a reset switch on the wall to the left. (see related question)
There is no statue ordering on Nabooti Island. To beat the Sand Room in the tomb at Giza, you pull the switches in the same order as the dots on the bellies of the small statues (one two three four). So you will be pulling the lever on the far right, the second from left, the third from left, and then the left switch. If the sand gets too high, there is a reset switch in the exit at the left of the room.To put the Jewels in the Nabooti statue: from top it is purple, green, red, white, and blue.
Beating the sand room gives you the Blue Jewel. Go left to exit the tomb. You will still have collect the other 4 jewels before taking them all back to the museum.
you will see dots on the statues go i numeric order and then steal the pearl from the mummy

In the Sand Room are 4 switches with small statues on them. When you throw a switch, the small statue falls, and the room begins to fill with sand. You have to throw all four switches in orderbefore the sand fills the room. The order is indicated by the drawing on the wall, but also by the dots on the bellies of the small statues. Drop them in that order (one dot, two dots, three dots, and four). The sarcophagus will open to reveal the Blue Jewel.(see related question)
