my radio blows fuses for no apparent reason--i thought it was a short in the steering column, but driving straight today it blew again---i need to know if it takes a 10 or 20 amp fuse---please help if you can (1993 park avenue)
Yes Should have fuse block by steering column
Check under the dash, just left of the steering wheel. More fuses may be near the battery and a few of the larger fuses may be on the firewall on the passenger side, behind a plastic housing.
Under the dash to the left of the steering column
There are approximately 40 fuses, mostly in an oblong box under dash between steering column and hood release handle. There are approximately 40 fuses, mostly in an oblong box under dash between steering column and hood release handle.
There are three locations for fuse boxes in a 1992 Buick Park Avenue. One fuse panel location in under dash next to steering column. The backside of panel door has a diagram for each fuse location and is numbered accordingly. The second fuse box is located on passenger side under glove box. The kick panel under dash needs to be removed to expose fuses and relays. A diagram is located on the panel that has to be removed. The third location is under the hood on the passenger side of the firewall. Typically your entire major component fuses and relays.
It's under the steering column, near the brake and says "FUSES" on it.... Try Amazon or eBay for a Chilton's manual for cars in these years. They're probably pretty cheap by now.
Fuses are located on the left hand side of the steering column, you need a phillip's (cross) head screwdriver #2 the panel saddle's the steering column.
Most likely next to steering column. near dash board
its likely to be a fuse problem. the fuses can be found underneath the steering column usually
Main fuses and relays are in PD box next to battery. Interior fuses are in a box under dash, left side of steering column.
The fuse panel is located on the driver side beside the parking brake. It is easy to get to but hard to change fuses.... be prepared to lay on the ground.
