The order of the planets from the Sun used to be easy to remember by using the mnemonic My Very Educated Mother Just Served Us Nine Pizzas (Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto).
The y in "My" should remind you that it's Mercury not Mars that is first.
Unfortunately, Pluto is now classified as just a "dwarf planet". So you have to kind of forget Pluto!
Eight, as Pluto and Ceres are now classified as dwarf planets. The other eight planets are (in order of distance from the Sun):MercuryVenusEarthMarsJupiterSaturnUranusNeptune
The planets are satellites of the sun. The moons are satellites of the planets. The moons revolve around the planets captured by their gravity, while the planets revolve around the sun captured by its gravity and the sun.
Order from the sun is determined by the distance a planet is to the sun, relative to the other planets. The planets are ordered as follows: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune.
The Sun does Not rotate around planets; Planets rotate around the Sun. Planets that include: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. Also Dwarf Planet Pluto rotates around the Sun.
Mercury and Venus are the only planets that can transit the Sun, from where I am.
The planets travel around the sun.
All planets except Mercury can appear 50 degrees from the Sun.
planets from the sun in order: mercury, venus, earth, mars, jupiter, saturn, uranis, and neptune.
The planets orbit (travel) around the Sun.
In order for a planet to form, it must have a centre of mass to orbit around. In the example of our solar system, the planets were formed AFTER the sun.

the planets go around in circles around the sun
Planets circle in an elliptical orbit around the Sun.

Circle around the sun some say the sun circles the planets but it does not
