Einsteinium was discovered in the debris of 'Mike',the code name for the first thermonuclear explosion witch took place on Eniwetok,a Pacific atoll,on 1 November 1952...'Mike' was the precursor to the development of a thermonuclear weapon, the so-called hydrogen bomb. (THAT was dumb, but it was worth discovering element 99 between californium and fermium...)
