Overshadow & overshadowed, occurrs 4 times in the KJV Bible, but there is no reference for overshadowing.
It means "To be good is nice, to be evil is bad"
Diagnostic overshadowing is the tendency to attribute all behavioral, emotional and social issues to a certain diagnosis while other issues are not considered. A therapist uses diagnostic overshadowing when he or she fails to recognize other symptoms by letting one aspect "overshadow" all other aspects of the person's behavior. That passage is in Romans chapter 7. Here is verse 19 from the NKJV - For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice.
