I have read something like 85% choose to join church and stay "Amish". I have lived in two Amish communities and I'd say that figure sounds correct. Some families have high retention rates, other families seem to go English.

There are several schools for troubled teens. Most of these schools offer extended stay options for really troubled teens.
Stay fresh for less
Amish men and women can leave their community when the reach adulthood (usually 18) if they choose to do so. They will leave the community and most often not be allowed back, even to visit. however, more than 85% choose to stay Amish

Yes, it is their faith to only marry people that belong to the Amish church. - eletias - It be better to say "yes and no". Most of time they do marry in their faith, only looking for a mate in their own community, which has increased the progression of genetic problems. But there is small percentage of outside English, that do join the Amish, Amish adopt English outside children, and rumoured infertile men have outside men sleep with their wives to conceive, plus occasional infidelity.
There is no cut and dry answer to this question, both genders are compelled not to seek mates outside their faith, especially outsider English people in fear they will leave their Amish society. You can only date as Amish person another baptized member, to be baptized is to make a verbal contract obligation to the community and Amish society to stay. But do Amish woman and men date outsiders, yes, mostly in secrete. If it is known that the Amish person is dating a outsider, everything will be factor in letting such Amish person continue, from the desire the outsider interested in joining, to the Amish persons parents, but the greatest determination factor will come down from highest elder in the community. If a Amish person regardless of their age, does something like date a outsider, against the denial the elder, they first will be shunned and if it continues excommunicated with nothing and no family ties.
at least a year
Amish parents really aren't so sure their children will stay. Ultimately it's their desire that all their children would join church, but they understand that it has to be each child's individual decision. Parents of children who fail to join church do not appear to carry a stigma in the community.
get educated, convince teens who are pregnant to stay in school, tell parents to educate there kids, not get pregnant, tell teens about the consequences, know what the consequences, educate teens.
