There's not one person, there are a bunch of us, and our usernames are given at the bottom of the answer (unless someone doesn't bother to sign in, in which case their IP address is given instead).
Personally, I like giving answers. All of our supervisors like giving answers, and our dedicated contributors do, too. They wouldn't be on WikiAnswers all the time if the didn't like giving answers.
You know when you are giving inaccurate answers when you don't know the answer. If you believe you sort of know the answer, but don't really know it, chances are that you are giving inaccurate answers. It is up to you whether or not you know when you are giving inaccurate answers.
