the person will stop until he/she wants to or u could message them
Answers.com is a site where anybody can ask (more or less) any question they want and receive an answer from other contributors. The important thing to remember is that we all have different levels of knowledge and expertise, so some questions may appear a little "silly" to some. Unfortunately some people take the opportunity then to write nonsense answers which can be very frustrating to the asker, because they then have to ask their question again, or wait for someone to replace the nonsense answer with a sensible one. If a contributor does write nonsense, his/her answer will be removed and he/she will receive a friendly message from a Supervisor/Site Guardian advising them on how to write "good answers". If he/she continues to write nonsense answers, he/she will be warned about the quality of his/her answers and could have his/her account suspended if he/she does not heed them.
It's not the website giving the answers its people with accounts answering the questions by what they have heard. Usually, you can actually find good answers for a question, you just have to change the wording of your question a little.
disregard this question its nonsense
Some questions attract vandalism, when people change good answers to nonsense. Therefore, those answers are 'locked'.
The answers provided on the website are generated by individuals on the site. Although the site is monitored by supervisors and others, both good answers, bad answers, and nonsense answers can be entered. Over time, the nonsense and bad answers are weeded out by the supervisors and others. The inconsistency simply comes from the extremely high volume of questions and answers that arrive on the site everyday.
I get 17,510 years if those are seconds you are giving. It's best to pose a complete question though if you want good answers.
You can see who provided the answer - by looking at the "Question history" under "Question tools" in the blue bar to the left - and make a determination as to whether it is reliable. And while most of the people who answer questions are attempting to do a good job, there are those that put nonsense on the site. Approximately 1,000 supervisors attempt to find such nonsense, clean it up and block those who damage the site.(See Related question.)
There are many good answers -- sometimes it depends on the question. Kids who are cutting-and-pasting questions from their assignments are not going to get good answers because they're cheating. People with good questions -- like this one -- get someone who thinks about their answer and tries to give you a good one. WikiAnswers tries hard to erase "troll" answers, which are nonsense answers written by people just trying to be annoying. Sometimes it takes time to find and erase all of them, so if you get a stupid answer, just erase it yourself and toss your question back out there. You can also contact a supervisor and ask for specific help with a question!
It is not possible to answer a question that supplies no information. We cannot see your revolver, and have no idea of the make and model that might guide us to giving you a real answer. Good questions= good answers.
Although most people that use this site are very good with their answers, you do get some people that answer questions incorrectly or place nonsense answers on here.
The truth of answers on Answers.com is a combination of highly accurate and respected web sites. The accuracy of answers in WikiAnswers section of the site does vary. Many answers have been vandalized or filled with nonsense, however, there are over 1,000 Supervisors that work to remove and prevent bad answers. If you find an answer to a question and are unsure if its true or not, you can search the user that answered that question and check their trustworthiness. It is also a good idea to validate the answers against other web sites and sources.
There is no limit to how many questions someone can ask or answer. But they must be real answers without nonsense & or profanity, etc. Any existing valid answers must remain. Deleting nonsense is ok, deleting good answers not only impolite but not allowed . For opinion questions that can have multiple correct answers, just add new under existing. have at it.
