It didn't have points. Ignition points were replaced with electronic ignition in the early/mid 1970's.

I assume you have an F-350 Ford with the 460 engine. You'll need to find a Chilton's or Motors repair manual or maybe online and get the firing order for your engine and year. Normally the #1 cylinder is the 1st spark plug at the front of the motor .It may be either right or left side depending on the year . Once you know the #1 cylinder, just follow the plug wire to the cap. Hope this helps
Yes. It is in the distributer. Remove the cap and motor and you will see it.

On a 350 Olds motor, the number 1 spark plug wire typically connects to the distributor cap at the terminal located at the rear of the cap, opposite the rotor's rotation direction. You can confirm the correct position by locating the rotor, which should point towards the number 1 terminal when the engine is at top dead center (TDC) on the compression stroke. Ensure the other spark plug wires are installed in the correct firing order, which is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2.
The # 1 position on the distributor cap for a Ford 460 cubic inch ( 7.5 liter ) faces to the REAR and slightly towards the drivers side
The arrows point to the front of the engine.
It is bolted to the rear main cap on the bottom of the engine. You will have to remove the oil pan to get to the oil pump.
Other than being a 460, a tune up is probably in order, include a new air filter, spark plugs, wires, rotor and cap if applicable, oil change, filter, pcv valve. then clean the maf sensor, check all vacuum hoses.
