Club Penguin is a RipOff and is engineered to draw young players in by giving them some free things to play with at first, and as they go along FORCING them to buy a paid membership in order to get new little gewgaws. Once they get to a certain stage, they are presented with a DEMAND for a paid membership every time they do anything.I would have NEVER started him on this if I had known it would lead to a demand for a paid membership that costs the equivalent of $150 (financial note: $5 a month is roughly equivalent to something purchased outright for $150). $150 to play a computer game!!!???And then they have the nerve to plant the obnoxious comment below, saying that you have to pay to support a "safe" place for kids to play. Here's a safe place for kids to play: in my living room with me and a chess board - or with a Lego set in their room.I see no redeeming value in this devious site.----------------------------------------Yes, Club Penguin membership is a rip off.
