When people tend to have their own style that various others share they have been labelled with that group - such is a stereotype. Its not nice to be labelled but stereotypes have been around for ages. Stereo typing can be something you don't actually know your doing. People are labelled and put into a group by other people. People think that if you hang around with a 'punk' you are automatically a punk. It shouldn't matter who you are, what clique you are in, everyone should get along.
All the preppy kids need someone to pick on. But in all seriousness people are envious, I know you've most likely heard that all your life, but it is true. People love to call me emo because they think it hurts and they want to make me feel worse about the way I dress and music I love. Just stop letting it get to you and be proud of who you are!
