the African elephants population has been reduced from millions to between 470,000 and 700,000 individuals. Perhaps as many as 300,000 elephants may live in central Africa, but the region's forests are so thick, it's hard for researchers to count them

Right now there isn't enough information to say exactly how many African elephants are in Africa. There have been enough counted to be removed from the endangered list however.

Well it depends on what part of Uganda you mean. If it the lower left Kidney, then there are about 17 elephants. Strangely enough, this has decreased since the launch of Kung-fu panda 2. Coincidence, I think not!
