What is the prayer of Saint Anne?

This is a prayer to the young virgin and martyr St. Agnes, a Roman girl who was only thirteen years old when she suffered martyrdom for her Faith (about 304 AD). Agnes had made a promise, a promise to God never to stain her purity. Her love for the Lord was very great, and she hated sin even more than death! Since she was very beautiful, many young men wished to marry Agnes, but she would always say, "Jesus Christ is my only Spouse." Not much is known about St. Agnes' life. She is believed to have lived and died in the fourth century. Tradition claims that she was around the age of thirteen when she refused to marry. Her would be husband accused her of being a Christian, and brought her before a judge. The Judge promised her beautiful things if she would renounce her faith. The judge had her arrested and placed into the care of a prostitute, but an Angel protected her. Finally she was put to death by the sword and beheaded.
