The island of Fiji is unique in that it is home to several endemic species
mostly reptiles and birds. Coincidentally the Fijian monkey-faced bat is Fiji's only endemic mammal; it is critically endangered because of habitat loss. Very little is known of the species, it has been recorded to live at high elevations on the island of Taveuni.
I imagine the native predators of this 250 gram bat would be the Fiji Goshawk, (which appear in high densities on the islands) a species of Harrier and barn owls.
Other possible predators are Feral cats and mongooses which were introduced to the region.
